The beginning
It started with a need. Then came the first line of code.
Every company has a beginning. For MyThorneAI, that beginning can be traced to August 9, 2025, when our CTO, Sirshak Bohara, wrote the first line of code. The idea behind it started long before the technology.
It grew from years of working with students, job seekers, educators, workforce professionals, and individuals with disabilities — and from one question:
How do we better prepare young people for the workforce before the workforce arrives?
Students could learn about careers. They could read about interviewing. They could hear someone explain workplace communication. But where could they practice it — make mistakes, get feedback, and grow — while teachers, counselors, families, and workforce professionals were still there to help?

Thorne Consulting is founded
Jamil Thorne starts Thorne Consulting to help students and adults with disabilities move from education into meaningful work — through Pre-ETS, job skills training, and career preparation across Texas, Colorado, and Kentucky.

On August 9, CTO Sirshak Bohara writes the first line of code for MyThorneAI. Workforce experience becomes curriculum. Real-world challenges become simulations. A consulting philosophy becomes a platform.

Jamil is an educator, workforce development leader, and entrepreneur whose career has centered on helping people prepare for education, employment, and long-term career success.
His work spans higher education, academic advising, admissions, disability services, career development, talent acquisition, and workforce development — giving MyThorneAI a view from both sides of the employment equation: what students need to develop, and what organizations expect from the people they hire.
In 2023 he founded Thorne Consulting. That on-the-ground work with students made one thing obvious: career readiness has to begin years before someone starts looking for a job. MyThorneAI is the platform built from that realization — with CTO Sirshak Bohara and a team turning workforce knowledge into a place students can practice.
